Die Variabilität in der Enkodierung und Dekodierung prosodischer Prominenz hängt nicht nur von linguistischen Faktoren (z.B. Cue-Trading) oder kognitiven Faktoren (z.B. Fähigkeiten zur Perspektivübernahme) ab, sondern auch von dem konkreten situativen Kontext, in dem sie untersucht wird (z.B. Aufgabenanforderungen). Wir werden uns auf die Verwendung von Prominenz in dyadischen Interaktionen konzentrieren, um verschiedene Quellen der Variabilität zu identifizieren und um die kognitiven Prozesse und die zugrunde liegenden neurobiologischen Mechanismen zu untersuchen.
