Voices in Contexts

A workshop on the prosody-pragmatics interface for early career researchers

The workshop "Voices in Contexts" will take place on October 12th - 13th, 2023 in Cologne and is organized by early career researchers from the CRC 1252 "Prominence in Language", University of Cologne.

The purpose of the workshop is to bring together early career researchers who are working on topics related to prosody, pragmatics and especially their interfaces in order to exchange ideas, identify common topics, discuss new methods, and provide networking opportunities with other researchers in this field.

Call for Papers

We invite early career researchers (PhD students and Postdocs within 3-5 years of completing their PhD) working on topics related to the prosody-pragmatics interface (approaching from either a prosody or a pragmatics perspective) to submit their papers for our upcoming workshop. We encourage submissions with a focus on study designs and analysis methods, including projects in the planning stages.
