Journalist in Residence
The Journalist-in-Residence program offers media professionals time and space to familiarize themselves with new topics and to plan and implement new journalistic projects during a research and investigation stay at the CRC 1252. Through close exchange with the researchers, the fellowship provides insight into the broad variety of research approaches to language and the specific research of the CRC, as well as into modern everyday research with all its facets.

Büşra Delikaya (2026)
Büşra Delikaya is a Berlin-based journalist and linguist. She completed a two-year journalistic traineeship at Tagesspiegel and writes about language, migration, and social negotiation processes. In her Master's research, she examines prominence organization and referential strategies in bilingual contexts. She is particularly interested in how language choice, code-switching, and prosody structure visibility, status, and belonging - especially in situations of language loss and reclamation, using Kurdish as a case study. During her two-month fellowship at the CRC1252 (March - April 2026), she aims to connect linguistic research on prominence with journalistic practice and to explore how social hierarchies influence linguistic highlighting in discourse.
