The CRC is committed to equal opportunities, diversity and a wide range of perspectives. A Gender Board has been established as an organ which is elected/confirmed at the annual general meetings. The Gender Board meets at regular intervals to discuss measures and proposals of the CRC's members. At present, the Gender Board's work in Phase I has mainly focused on the areas of "family support" and "coaching".

Career support for women
The Female Career Program offers female students, doctoral candidates, postdocs and other employees of the University of Cologne and the University Hospital of Cologne the opportunity to specifically address their individual career development - within academia as well as in preparation for the non-university labour market.
