Equity Board
The CRC 1252 is committed to equal opportunities and diversity. This concern is supported by the DFG, which also provides the CRC with equal opportunities funding as part of its promotion. It is the task of the Equity Board to oversee this budget that is aimed at supporting equity and diversity within the CRC. The board crucially serves as the committee that can approve the funding of various requests from members of the CRC. A part of the annual budget is already earmarked for childcare measures. The remaining funds are available for your needs and ideas.

It includes members that may be disadvantaged due to gender inequality, family obligations, marginalised-group affiliation (based on heritage, ethnicity or belief), physical and mental disabilities, as well as being first-generation in academia.
Applications and enquiries can be sent to the following e-mail address: gender-sfb1252(at)uni-koeln.de or directly to Hanno Jansen (h.jansen(at)verw.uni-koeln.de). We meet regularly to decide on your applications. If need be, we can also be very flexible in getting together.
Please do not hesitate to contact us, even if you only have a vague idea. We will be happy to help you develop your ideas further. In general, we are always open to questions about equity and diversity. So don’t think twice, let us support you.

Dein Raum!
"Dein Raum!" is a voluntary, confidential discussion group aimed at those affected by power abuse and discrimination in the academic context of the University of Cologne. The group is moderated by Claudia Viganske, a freelance psychologist with extensive experience working with individuals who have faced power abuse and psychological violence in organizational settings. The goal of "Dein Raum!" is to empower participants and help them find personal ways to cope with their experiences.
"Dein Raum!" is designed to complement the existing counseling and support services at the University of Cologne, though it takes place outside the university context.
